consulting
Indus Consulting is excited to
announce that we are expanding our service offering to enable smaller
businesses within Gauteng, who has limited budgets, but requires
consulting support, to benefit from our new monthly retainer option.
Within this new service line, we are able to provide business financial
evaluations and consulting support to help businesses achieve growth
and increase profitability.
Our consulting involvement is packaged in the form of a monthly
retainer fee, and will enable the business owner to gain access to
professional consulting with the additional benefit of ongoing feedback
and support. The nature of the client's requirements and the retainer
period can also be tailor made to assist the client with unique and/or
additional challenges.
The Indus approach to small business support consulting
Initial consultation and
assessment
During initial client
engagement, a business assessment will be conducted to help identify
the nature and scope of the underlying business dynamics and drivers,
and to define the communicated client requirements. The nature of the
consulting focus and outcomes will also be determined. A work plan
outlining a preliminary action plan will be submitted to the client for
further discussion and approval. If accepted, a brainstorm and planning
session will be facilitated to define the specific requirements.
Strategy review, turnaround and
optimisation workshop
The initial brainstorm workshop
will lead to a formal and highly structured strategy review and
planning session. This will merge top management's in-depth business
knowledge with the consultants problem-solving skill set to develop an
appropriate, customised business growth, turnaround, or optimisation
action plan. During this structured process, critical focus areas will
be identified. This will become the guideline for future changes and
actions required to achieve the envisaged business goals and
objectives.
Action plan
Once the strategy review and
problem definition phase has been completed and agreed upon, the
consultant and the client will formalise a structured action plan. This
will become the foundation for corrective action and performance
management within the new project scope.
Mentorship and implementation
The client executes the
optimisation or turnaround plan with the guidance of the consultant.
The consultant will mentor the client during the implementation of the
agreed action plan. The consultant will provide an ongoing assistance
programme including progress review meetings and ad hoc assistance. The
mentorship is vital to successful implementation of the work plan. Most
companies that employ conventional consultants fail due to an
unstructured implementation strategy.
Consulting interaction
Typically a total of 192 hours,
or two consulting days per month, over a one year period will be
allocated to supplying mentorship and implementation assistance. For an
affordable monthly retainer fee, we will assist your business realign
its business strategy and operational focus areas. The retainer period
and costs will depend on the nature and scope of interventions and
outcomes required as agreed upon by both parties.
